Analysis of Impact of a Novel Combined Casing Treatment on Flow Characteristics and Performance of a Transonic Compressor

To reduce the negative impacts of stall and surge on compressor performance, a novel combined casing treatment (CCT) structure with axial skewed slots injection groove is proposed in this paper. The aerodynamic as well mechanisms loss generation, transonic NASA Rotor 67 are investigated numerically. simulation results indicate that, compared individual method, CCT works effectively regard to operation performance. margin (SM) increased by 14.7% 1.12% decrease peak efficiency. interaction can be explained enhancement exchange flow motion fluid. As result, leakage near blade tip eliminated separation further suppressed. What more, an analysis entropy generation also conducted. reveal that effect reduction mainly concentrates part blade, about 14.46% original rotor. best control expected appropriate match between geometrical parameters mass rate from parameter analysis.
